Our Heroes
The project was carried out in Spring–Summer 2025.
The Photo Heroes project paused time for a moment to capture the faces of history. Brave, unyielding, courageous warriors—and those standing beside them—opened their souls to the camera. As we present this photographic project, we sincerely thank everyone who participated. Thank you to each and every person defending our country.
Nazar Dzundza
When the full-scale war began, he did not hesitate—he knew what he was fighting for. Nazar fulfilled his duty to the fullest. “So that we are not forgotten,” he says, smiling into the lens.
Viktor Tugbaiev
He went to protect his family and our families. He knew he carried angelic wings behind him, gifted by his loved ones. “I want to live in a peaceful and thriving country,” says Viktor, without a shadow of doubt that it will happen.
Vasyl Berezovskyi
Tenderness and strength unite in this courageous man. A deep sense of responsibility for his people, immense love, and the desire to protect his loved ones—all fuel his unbreakable spirit and inner optimism. He believes that everything will be alright.
Andrii Marunchak
Positive, compassionate, and devoted to his calling, Andrii faced severe injuries with courage. Yet his willpower and the sparks of kindness in his gaze remain genuine and unshakable. He never gives up and is ready to keep fighting.
Dmytro Ravkh
Dmytro’s warrior heart beats daily in unison with his breath. His talent and outstanding creative projects always attract like-minded people. His reflections on life, war, love, and hope deeply touch everyone. Dmytro believes in Victory and constantly organizes fundraising for the Armed Forces, inspiring others by his example.
Oleh Klymyshyn
A veteran of the ATO, a courageous warrior who fulfilled his calling. Life, in return, gave him a new chapter filled with love, loyalty, and tenderness. He had someone to fight for—and now he certainly has someone to live for.
The idea for this project belongs to photographer Liubov Kartashova.
